LESLIE A. SKIBA
Leslies practice is focused on the areas of commercial bankruptcy, reorganization and litigation. She has represented debtors-in-possession in the Chapter 11 cases of Wolf Camera, Inc. and Allied Holdings, Inc. and served as special avoidance counsel in the Chapter 11 case of Ampd Mobile, Inc. Leslie has also represented a wide array of secured and unsecured creditors in Chapter 11, 7 and 13 cases, including financial institutions, equipment lessors, landlords, airlines, reclamation claimants and taxing authorities in connection with motions for relief from stay, sale motions, cash collateral motions, plan confirmation and claim and lien enforcement. Leslie's litigation experience includes the defense and prosecution of preference and fraudulent conveyance actions as well as the prosecution of creditors' rights actions in state court, such as suits on notes, guaranties, receiverships and garnishments.
Leslies familiarity with insolvency issues helps her to minimize risk in commercial transactions. Examples of Leslie's transactional experience include the representation of: a publicly traded company in $150 million warehouse auto facility; a publicly traded company in connection with its sale of commercial paper secured by a direct-pay letter of credit and in connection with supporting $350 million credit facility that secured a syndicate of banks' reimbursement obligations to the issuing bank; a major national bank in loan workout of equipment lessor; and a borrower in $100 million senior real estate loan and $27 million mezzanine loan.
